My friend once made it his life aim to breed a Level 100 Magikarp and see what it could learn.

Looks like Nintendo is giving a month or so to get the "Liberty Pass". This is the key item necessary to get to Victini in the new games Black and White. It is a Fire/Psychic pokemon with 100 stats across the board and quite cute. It is an incentive to get the game early. We are going to try and pick up a copy this Sunday when it comes out mostly because of this give away....so I guess it worked

. The maps of Black and White are loosely based on New York city and will have a whole new generation of pokemon. You can transfer Pokemon from older gen games once you have beat the game, but unlike previous generations you items/tms/berries won't go with you. On the plus side TMs do not get used up. So, once you get an Earthquake TM, for example, you can use it on multiple pokemon. There is also a dream world where you can catch pokemon with unique abilities and battle other players. You can also hook up with friends and water yours and their berry gardens. I think this generation will bring a lot more players into the Player vs Player side of the game which is very challenging and fun.

I play the really old Silver, Blue, and Yellow versions on an old GameBoy color. And yes, I believe Magikarp and his "Splash" move is the most stupid thing ever. Still, it was worth it when he evolved into Gyrados.

I came home from work to find my wife has bought herself a copy of Black and a copy of White for me

. Our local Walmart had a bazzillion in stock so there was no problem getting copies for us. She picked herself a Snivy

as a starter, so I started with an Oshawott.....named Meatball

He will eventually look like.... this

Hopefully he's a good one. But, with a name like Meatball I think success is guaranteed. So far it looks like the best version yet....and the professor is .... a lady this time!

Professor Juniper. Not that that should be unusual but they've put out a large number of games and that's never happened until now, so it was a pleasant surprise. Anyhow back to the game.

Just something I thought was cool..... Black and White has their first Fowl/Poultry pokemon

Its starts as a Pidove

, which isn't very chickenish at all

BUT

It eventually evolves into

Unefezant

Note the sexual dimorphism between cockerel and hen
