Aart’s articles were foundational for me. After I started thinking about keeping chickens, I found this site and then found aart. She was an excellent teacher through her writing. I kept coming back to each of her articles multiple times and I still consult them on occasion! Especially the coop builds and run layout ideas. Even though my coop/run is very different, I found her attention to detail, with photos, really useful to learn from. The tips, tricks & solutions (particularly for building alone!) in her articles are a great resource for everyone on BYC.

Wow, thank you! I was unaware of this medal, and will actually read up on the reasons for receiving it...hehe

edit: just read the description....I am very honored. I enjoy this forum so much, and avoid several others due to the fact that alot of "know-it-alls" tend to scare off those that want to learn; I haven't experienced it here...thus, you all are stuck with me!
