I would want a plug in type too, the battery changing would not be any fun at all, I'll be sure and add plug in to it on my list for Santa, haha!!

Get the battery and plug in one, some around here have a tendency to feed cords to thier dogs, this way you would have a backup, though you probably wouldn't have the proper size of battery when you need it.

This is just a suggestion and not meant to offend anyone, but when you buy your thread for a project, why not get an extra spool of the same color and some empty bobbins, then take that extra spool of thread and fill the bobbins with it.

You can get one of those clear plastic divided fishing lure boxes from the sporting goods section of your local Wally World and place the extras in it.

That way, when your original bobbin runs out, you don't have unthread the machine and fill up a bobbin, just pop the empty out and put the fresh, already filled bobbin in and just keep sewing, just keep sewing, just keep sewing.

My daughter bought me one that will work on electricity and battery for my birthday. I love love love it !

I buy 100 % cotton for my piecing and quilting . They are usually large cones and expensive so buying 2 wouldn't work for me.

But you could get the extra bobbins and make them ahead of time from the cones before you start quilting or piecing. Unless your bobbins are larger then normal for your quilting machine. I don't know it was just a suggestion.

It's a great suggestion. The funny thing is all the bobbins I ran out were on smaller projects like pillow cases and table runners. I didn't think the bobbin would run out so when it did with about a foot of sewing left I thought "well isn't this just my luck".

I definitely want a sidewinder with a cord. We go through alot of batteries here and I don't want to get anything else that takes them. Otherwise the kids will find there game remotes without any batteries. lol
