BYC SEWING/QUILTING CLUB

Thank you for the link, Guitartist! Her work is amazing!

Lovely watermelon quilt, sara! Good luck with your holiday projects. I'm doing small gifts - embroidered kitchen towels - one with chicks! I'll take a picture soon and post here.

Whew! Seven projects in the works?!?! You'd better get workin' my friend!

I'm going to do 2 smaller, kid sized quilts for gifts this Christmas. One will be a blue-jean rag quilt and one will be a regular quilt with the sock monkey themed fabric!

I'm also making a small Secret Santa gift for another BYC'er, but, shhhhhhhh!!

It sounds more impressive than it is. Most of them are small wall hangings. Two will be rag quilts so no "quilting" on them. I just couldn't stand to give these people gift certificates again.

I have made a few quilts and I love it. I made rag quilts for Christmas gifts last year (though I found out today that someone took the one I made for my son:(). I will have to make him another one I guess. I will have to try and take some pictures of some of my quilts and post them here.

I'm a sewer and a quilter. This thread is great! I love getting to see other people's projects! You are all very talented!

For the longest time I only hand-sewed because I was terrified of my mom's sewing machine (it seemed that I always broke it). I got one of my own and my grandma gave me a few pointers and I've gone crazy. I've only been using a machine for a little over a year now. Grandma helped me make a dress for a friend's wedding last September. Since then I have made my dress for our wedding rehearsal, several quilted purses, a dress for my SIL to wear to her graduation, and quite a few quilts, wall hangings, hot pads, and a table runner.

I am completely addicted to quilting. Some of my projects are here on my BYC page. I need to add some more pictures one of these days. I only have one unfinished top (the first one I ever did) - it's for me, so it ends up getting pushed aside in favor of projects for other people. I also have one project that I NEED to get done - instead of a typical guest book at our wedding, I had people sign squares of fabric for me to use in an Album Patch quilt. I hope to start on that after I get through making my Christmas gifts.

Hi, I sew and quilt. I did a log cabin quilt and had a church group of ladies hand quilt it for me. I will post photo tomorrow.
I have a ufo I just started working on again this week. It is made from 5 inch charm packs. I am doing this all by hand. Started out as a project while sitting at a bedside in the hospital.
I also sew fabric postcards, I send them to a group that sends hundreds of them to troops overseas. quilts from home, like a pocket quilt they can keep. You write a message on one side.
I also assist my mom with her quilts. I have a large fabric stash, and a desire for more fabric! I love scraps.
