Stopped at a yardsale Friday, and there were some quilts (only 2 left when I got there)

She sold me one for $1 and the other for $2....
Thought I would show the pics.

Now I would say that was a good find. I never run into anything that cheap. I like the white with the red for sure. Congrats on finding them

Gwen, I looked back a few pages and didn't see it so maybe it was a different thread but someone recently posted about cleaning quilts and getting those yellow spots out that come from storing them in a wooden box? at least I think that's what I remember...maybe you could start a thread with that picture and ask for advice on getting that white one brightened up and cleaned? The workmanship is really nice..what does the front of the other one look like?

Very fun and clever Kycks!!! Nice recruitment effort there!

Me, I like my chickens to stay under the radar, although they are legal with city ordinance and neighborhood restrictions and all that, several others around here lately have chickens and I even saw some in the street one day so my fear is that someone who isn't responsible with their pets will end up causing everyone that is to be gathered in that net of no one can have chickens now. Some people can just spoil things for everyone by making what they do a problem to neighbors, the noise, the smell and the loose pets so mine live as unobtrusively in my backyard as possible and I don't draw attention to them in any way. Didn't mean to be a wet blanket on your idea, it's a great one and Raleigh has a "Hen-side the Beltline Tour" every year but I am just too "chicken" to crow about mine, lol!

Maybe the cat will like it, after I wash it of course.
