BYC SEWING/QUILTING CLUB

I found a quilt I had started and then put in the attic. I really didn't like it until DH saw it this weekend and said, "That looks like a stained glass window." I got the idea to just make a front door curtain from him.

I want to do a quilt for each family so if anyone has any ideas on family quilts.....please give me the ideas. I was thinking of one gift per family and I thought that a quilted throw would be the best. Maybe I could embroider all the names in the quilt of at least the last name......hmmmm.....something to think about.

I also have a quilt to finish for my middle daughter that has been lingering for a while.....but her birthday is coming up so maybe I'll finish it for that.....beings she already got a new puppy for a very early b-day gift.

What about a tree? It's something they could add to. Roots would be the parents. Trunk you could put family name. Branches could be children. Put in extra branches and a few leaves that they could add names to as time goes on.
