Quick question, how does one do hand sewing if one is so clumsy with their fingers?

I'm trying to sew ribbon onto a pair of socks. Thanks! Also, is there any way I can do this with a sewing machine?

New String Quilt. This one was started with a wedge shape for the centers of the blocks. I think if I do a second one, that I will make all the wedges the same color, to tie the quilt together better.

Beautiful quilt, verthandi! Happy New Year! This is a quilt in progress for my niece. Need another plain border, then have to decide what else to do to make it the right size, about a queen comforter size.
