Thanks y'all.

Here is a pic of the corner. I decided to do one side and the top boarder red and the other side and bottom green. The corners are just pinned and still need a little adjusting.

I've sewn together four strips of 8 to see how they will look together. I think instead of 8 strips of 8 we are going to have to do 4 strips of 16 or it will look odd. I need to figure out what colors to get to use between the strips and for the edges and backing now. They are going to together pretty easily, the girls did a good job with them.

You mean sashing between the rows and a border?

Pull out a color that is in the prints you have. What about a green that is in with the flowers or maybe a cream/off white. You could go with an even darker pink, more of a maroon.

I'd go with green too. Green is the complimentary color of red.

You could toss in a little color lesson with sewing.

Oops..got carried away with colors and forgot to type....they look great together!!!!!

I wouldn't go with different shades as sashings as it will make it too "busy" and take away from the great work in the geese. I would go with 1 shade of green as the sashing and then maybe different color around the whole things as a border.
