BYC Virus Threat to PC?

Since it hasn't been reported by every member with virus software then I think it is isolated. Something similar happened before where peeps thought it was BYC and it turned out that a member had uploaded an image or something that was causing some problems with specific versions of virus software. Basically, anytime someone with that virus software visited that specific thread and saw the image it rang bells. We were able to get the members to tell us which thread they were on and deleted the images and the problems went away.

So, if this happens again, please keep very close note of the thread, post, etc. that you are on (copy the address / URL of the page) and PM me.

Well, I can tell you from experience that there is another scam going that says you have a virus and if you click ok you get a trojan or 2 or 3 on your computer, SO NEVER CLICK OKAY. If it wont go away by clicking the x box then I ctl alt del and end the window from there, that usually works

I've gotten one of those messages -.- I fell for it. Fortunately we were going to get rid of the computer so it wasn't a problem for us. Now I have my lap top and sometimes I get those kind of messages, but I ignore them

I've seen some sites that have delays on pop ads where you can be on another tab and a pop shows up, so you think you are getting the pop from the site you're currently on.

We take all these issues incredibly seriously and work very hard to ensure that the ads, technology, etc. that we have on BYC is safe and secure. Of course, it is hard to make anything 100% perfect, but we do our best.

We're sorry some people have been having problems, but again, the fact that out of the thousands of peeps that visit this forum every day we've only had a couple reports almost guarantees it is very isolated.

That said, we'll keep looking into it and want to keep receiving reports and details from anybody that has it happen to them... especially include:

1) The URL of the page you are on when you get the error / message
2) A screenshot of the page and the warning
3) Any info about the ads, images, etc. on the page
