Cool! here is a bit I started:

Dark forms crawled through the shadows that surrounded the small band of travelers. The hair on my neck stood on end, and every single face around me was as white as a sheet.
I had no idea what was in the pitch black world that seemed to encase the earth we stood on. The thunder roared as lightening cracked causing many of us to jump at the sudden brightness. I trembled, shaking the shackles that were imprisoning my hands and feet.
The fierce wind whipped my hair unto my pale face. A shadowy figure raised a mutilated finger and grasped my arm. Goosebumps rose to a visible stage as he curled his icy fingers around my wrist. “Come, my darling, come!” His voice was hoarse and had a hint of pleasure. Did he like torturing people?
I swallowed and took a small step forward. My sea-green eyes were glazed over with fear. The man, cloaked in darkness and revolting smell lowered a thick rope over my head. I stared, numbly out at the small trembling crowd before me. Some sobbed of fear for themselves, others for their children, but I had nobody. Nobody in the band of travelers loved me. I was an orphan. I was a nobody. My body shuddered and shook violently as the wretched man---wait, he is not a man, he is a….savage animal--- unlatched the iron shackles from my limbs, freeing them. The red welts freely swelled bigger, now that they had enough room to do so. I rubbed them painfully and swung my head up at the blackened sky. “WHY! Why! God! If you are up there, free me and my friends from this evil animal!” My mind raced and I prayed silently.
A clap of lightening lit up the sky just as the creepy shadow of a man tightened the noose with all his evil might. Pain rushed through my sixteen year old body and then my world went black.

I'd say it is very intense and scary.
