I’m in for three lake ducks.incubating…..

I'm one of "those" people - the ones who can't help but candle daily. Too soon to tell on this batch of eggs, though I'm pretty sure most of the green ones are developing and suspicious that the eggs from my LCN are not. I can usually see enough to feel confident about discarding eggs by day 5 or so. I'm a bit concerned that the green eggs are quite porous; nothing to do at this point than to wait and see.

Oh wow,same.it’s day fourteen for my 3 duck eggs,I candled every single day.
P.s I bought their bedding,toilet paper,shavings and towels.
I painted their brooder and attathched a tiny bow.
I ordered mealworms and dried insects.
Feed and duckweed and water plants and shells on their way.
I’m knitting some winter clothes for them.
I’m thinking about sewing socks.
My cake is almost done to celebrate their arrival.

Looks like I won't be able to participate, still waiting on my egg order shipping notification. I put lights on my quail after they finished moulting about a week and a half ago, but they're not laying. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll start today or tomorrow Probably not though.

I just got my egg shipment notification today I probably won’t be able to set them until like the 16-17th! I feel your pain

can I have an exception? I called the breeder on the phone and he was sure I would have my eggs by the 14th- now they’re late and just shipped out this AM.
