First of the three “failed“ broody chicks hatched today. Both parents are paint in color, little one looks like it’s going to be all black. The other two eggs are about a day behind developmentally, so this one will have to hang with a stuffed animal for now.😊
Also found this cute little mini feeder at the local feed store to replace the paper plates. The six day olds are incredibly messy. 🤣

I’d probably take them 😂 I’m really liking owl and satinettes but the shipping is so darn expensive :th
I would happily GIVE them to you. :p We have some nice colors.
These are the pigeons that laid an egg on the overhead door and tried to bomb me with it.

Everyone is posting such lovely chicks.
I don't think I've seen this many paint chicks. I love the paint coloration.
Will these get more spotted with age?

Yes, they do tend to develop more spots as they get older. The cockerel in my profile photo had very few spots as a chick.😊
