I totally missed your post..it never popped. I like the chicken carving and the cat. I have yet to get a pumpkin or a kit..I prolly won't be able to this year..got too busy sadly..

Here’s my second pumpkin for this year! Just freehanding some stuff, no stencils. First time trying surface carving, though I didn’t have the right tools for it and it didn’t come out as detailed as I wanted.
