BYC's Software Conversion - Discussion & Information

They are for positive/negative/neutral.
Of course if you don't use the BST section, you wont have them.

But what about ones who only use the Auction threads?

No, it's not. It is supposed to be set up where you have to link to the ad to leave feedback. All ads are supposed to be in the BST section, not in various threads around the forum.
Thanks for the heads up. We'll look into that.

oops

ETA - it wasnt an ad in a thread, i had just pm'd to get some
and others were from the 24 hour thread, does that one count?

I would think it would be better to stay open? Since there are so many that do use the BST section, but just the auction threads, so feedback left from those would be useful... feedback is often left in the chat thread, but unless a person reads through the whole thing, much of that gets lost...

Oh, and also for the swap threads would be nice to be able to leave feedback about too... jmo...

If the auction threads are in the BST section, you can leave feedback but it will only be for the thread starter. Because we don't have auction functionality, we allow the work around as detailed in the BST rules which are stickied in each BST section. And because we dont' have the ability to set up auctions as such, we don't endorse them nor do we police them.
Same with the swap threads. Those were allowed as another work around. We don't endorse or moderate them or allow feedback. See the Swap Rules HERE

I have 304 pages.....I just ignore the older ones, rarely go past the first page.
Hmm, I glad I saw this... I just decided to go to my oldest subscribed thread, and it's one I never posted in. In fact, the entire last page contains threads that haven't been posted to since 2007, which is before I joined!

I would rather have the "draft" saved than be reminded about leaving the page..

I found the reminder thing would fail and ask me when it shouldn't a lot. It would be nice to have both, but I really really like this feature of keeping it..

Overall, I am finding the two version about equal. There are things I miss on the old one, and there are things I like on this one the old one did not have.

I am wondering is there a way to make a "favorites" list along with the watched list, but separate? ( I am sure that is clear as mud)...

There are some threads I want to go to often regardless if another person has posted or not since I lasted posted on it...

I can think of a few, the thread on "Toads". I being the OP and originator of the Toad breed, find I need to post there often to keep other informed, especially the newer Toad breeders... Or The Minnesota thread where we are mostly all friends that know each other in RL.....

Or the Mushroom thread where we post our "finds" from hunting shrooms for others to see.... They are not the kind of threads that need others posting between an individuals post...

I hope that made it less muddy...Thanks..

BTW @Nifty-Chicken and crew...Good job herding us stubborn old timers along the road to progress.......even if we balk at every turn,,,

Something like the "Starred Conversations"? Seems like that would be an easy thing to add. I'd certainly like it. :)

I just checked too.....several of the oldest are before I joined also.
Could be a conversion glitch....doubt I checked before.
