We all have gotten burned out at one time or another. We have all stepped away for a time. Some have then gone on to other things. It's the nature of the beast.

Exactly. Life happens and goes on. None of our Staff have ever left because of a conversion. In fact, I have to say the conversions we have gone through have had the full support of our awesome Staff and were smoothly done because of them!

That is certainly true. Seems everyone stepped up to the plate to help things happen with as few hitches as possible. People just leave for one reason or another, member and moderator alike. I know there are a few times I've been less active, but since this is the only forum I am part of, it's not usually for long.

You're sweet, but again, probably won't happen. I'm just tired of the internet in general. If I didn't have a husband who seems to live on it, I think I'd just disconnect entirely. But, since it's here anyway, I use it for various purposes. At least on BYC, unlike FB, people are a bit kinder, in general. I am still 100% in favor of the family-friendly rules and hope that never changes. If it does, then that's when you'll see me go. I see people being ugly to each other enough on Facebook and in life in general.

I agree! That's why our first "Do" in the rules is
Be friendly and courteous to all members at all times.

Some think it's silly to enforce a "feel good" attitude, but it works. It means ALL are welcome here and our expectation is that ALL will be treated kindly on the forums.

You can post on people's profiles like you do here. Those are open to all to see.
Private messages are still private.

Yes, yes! The ones who don't like the rules are usually the ones who love to stir up trouble elsewhere and don't like being reined in here. Don't need those folks, then, IMO. Be nice. Be nice. BE NICE!

Look at the top right side of the page. You will see your avatar and next to it the Inbox link
