They are for positive/negative/neutral.
Of course if you don't use the BST section, you wont have them.

you can leave feedback even if not an ad in the BST, i have left feedback for someone that i bought eggs from but there was no ad

No, it's not. It is supposed to be set up where you have to link to the ad to leave feedback. All ads are supposed to be in the BST section, not in various threads around the forum.

ETA - it wasnt an ad in a thread, i had just pm'd to get some
and others were from the 24 hour thread, does that one count?

I'm on a Mac. For posts I have been clicking the number of the post (upper right) - I use the number 1 post if I'm linking to a thread. Then I get the option for HTML or BB Code link - use the BB code link snippet and it should link within BYC. (HTML is for outside BYC, though I haven't tried that yet).

This is great! I always wondered how people were putting links to specific posts and not the whole page.

okay so when I do copy, paste it is not right to link within byc
can't type and spell sorry I am windows 7 pro
