When I register my hens, does a bylaw officer come by to inspect placement of coop? In my area it says that my coop should be 3 meters from rear and side property lines. I talked to my neighbor and they said they are totally fine if i put my chicken coop up against our shared fence. They said they would not complain at all, so I see no problem. Unless of course bylaw officers drop by to inspect for no reason??? Would they tell me to move it, even if my neighbor doesn't care?? I live in Victoria BC Canada!

I think some areas are different than others. It may help to know the state or country you are in, so people living in your area can help. Another idea would be to post this in your state thread.
