C.A.T Contest!!! (Clever, Appealing, Talented). Show off your cats!!! STARTS TODAY, ENDS FEB. 17TH.

I can't speak for everyone that has multiple cats but I would say don't bother. Not just because you don't clean the litter box (please work on that) but because other than lions, cats are NOT "herd" animals. They can learn to get along or at least tolerate others but they do not need another of their kind like true herd animals.

I would think it is easiest if you get two that are from the same litter since they will not have to deal with an intruder. Too late in your case. Each new cat was considered an intruder by the existing cats in our house. Learn from my DW's example - Noel and the "friend" DW wanted for him. BOTH cats disliked the other, they were not friends, stressed each other out and they both would have been happier if the other didn't exist.
I used to have that avatar!

I was lucky when we brought the secon kitten home they ended up liking each other. They were only 8 weeks old approximately. It took about 24 hours to battle it out and they were fine. The third cat took about 3 days and they could eat out of the same bowls. No fighting other then “normal” play wrestling. They were leary of him though. My sister on the other hand brought in a second male cat and they never got along.

I agree with a Bruce, enjoy what you have!

Thanks! I think I probably will at this point. But it seems like it could work sometimes? But maybe it works better with younger cats

Well, Milo certainty won't win any beauty contests...
But he's a good cat.
He been through and puts up with a lot. :D
He's given us many, many scares with his unexpected misadventures- which include, but currently not to the extent of, getting stuck in locked sheds; ending up three towns over after falling asleep in a friend's truck; sneaking outside by attacking the dog when she comes in and creating a convenient diversion; getting caught by his collar innumerable times when he manages to jam the break-away :hmm; tangling with a possibly rabid raccoon; coming home with scar after scar after scar after luring the local ferals to his terrain just so he can pick skirmishes; getting stuck not in trees, but on our roof; squeezing out a window that was open exactly two inches and surging unbeknownst through the blizzard of 2016; the list goes on and on and on and on...
This cat's nothing short of a living legend among our acquaintances. :lau

Hello!
I didn't imagine me already having 8 pages on this contest! I didn't know everyone liked cats so much. I saw a cheetah documentary and now I like cheetahs. :D
Well all of my chickens were molting in October, so there was no way I could enter because I only took pictures when my chickens were beautiful.

When we got our cats from different farms, they were both kittens, so they got along fine. When Shiloh was born, sometimes Tiger would steal Snowbelle's kittens. But they were alright. (Now I'm having a flashback of her bringing a tiny, unable to walk downstairs Shiloh into my room and he and some other kittens crawled inside the box spring of my bed. Then we had to pull him out.) But Shiloh decided that he is now the leading cat.
