CA Anyone???

Hey everyone, this is getting taken way off topic. If you want to start a swine flu thread in random ramblings go ahead and do so. We'll delete the swine flu posts from this thread if there are any more posts on the subject here.

I understand...but since this post is about CA...just wanted to create an awareness since CA is one of the hard hit states in the U.S. so CA-ians could seperate their flock from pigs; However, that is correct to what you are saying, we should stay on topic. Its getting a little off topic so I personally will stop updating further about the swine flu. Best of luck to everyone!

I'm another one from Davis! I'm so glad we're allowed to have chickens in town. I have 2 young EE hens, and one that's, gosh, I don't know how old she is, 5? 6? and she doesn't really lay many eggs anymore. I've been hatching chicks in the classroom for years. This year I have 5 x 4 day old chicks. 3 EE, and 2 unknown from brown eggs from the CETA Foundation in Vacaville.

They'll all be going home with one of the students, who's mom is already looking forward to fresh eggs. We have staff and many in the community outside city limits who'll take the roos. Last year, my neighbor took our girls!

I'm currently fixing up a large rabbit cage to attach to my coop. My 3 girls free range in my backyard during the afternoons. I just bought myself a Genesis 1588 incubator, and looking to hatch some of those dark, dark, chocolate Marin eggs soon!

Chickens are really my FAVORITE pet!
