Cackle hatchery's Hatchery Surprise- Anybody got this before?

I was hoping for geese too...A little bummed I didn't get any, but the oe and 5 ducks made up for it. Not so sure about the turkey, but my husband was thrilled about it I told him that could be his project. Funny thing is he is a little scared of birds in general. Lol!

I got 2 turkey's in my surprise. One seems to be very aggressive and will chase your hand around the cage and peck you. He may get an abbreviated life if he keeps it up as he gets older!

My BBW turkey I got in the Surprise last year did that, mostly seemd like he was curious, and he did outgrow it.

Om my! That's why turkeys make me nervous! My husband is a very manly farmer, but I saw him squeal accidentally one time when a chicken pecked his boot. I never let him live it down. He will die if a turkey comes after him!

I got my wake up call from the post office today. I counted 98 chicks, 5 ducks, and 1 turkey. The ducks are 2 khaki and 3 rouens (sp?) Not at all sure about the chicks or turkey yet.

Did you receive all those in one order? Or are those from two surprise orders?

That is what I suspected. If it were more than 100 birds in the surprise, it would be a really good deal.

You received everything but geese, so that is pretty good.

Are you figuring out what breeds the chicks are?

From reading this thread, it appears you generally get 40-50 chicks, 2-3 ducks, and 1-2 turkeys. I can't wait to get mine

The more I look the more I am starting to think they are the jungle fowl special that they are advertising for march.
