I haven't added turkeys to my poultry mix (yet), but I brood everyone together. The ducks & geese make a huge mess out of the water dish until you get a little shallow bowl of water for them to dip in (a butter tub cut down to @ 1"-1 1/2" works for me) and the chicks dont get pushed around too much until 3 weeks or so for the large fowl chicks/ducklings/goslings.
This is the group I would keep the turkeys in until they learn to eat and drink (yes, they need taught), about a week or so.
They mix nicely.
Quail, bantams, and pheasants go well with cornish/meat type chicks due to feed requirements... but even though turkeys use the same feed I wouldn't put them here for long due to size.
After about 4 weeks, the geese and ducks tend to keep to themselves, same with quail and pheasants. Chicks are chicks and go where they please with no particular order that I have noticed.
I haven't had any disease problems, or hygeine issues as long as daily mantenance is kept up to the pen and whatnot.
For added confusion, I have a bantam cochin roo who broods my chicks, ducklings, and goslings for the first couple of weeks for me.
He makes a great mommy!
The only thing I have heard about mixing them is something about blackhead disease between turkeys and chicks... I have no experience with turkeys, though, so I cannot comment on it.
Happy brooding!
