I know there's disagreement on this, but I would think they'd have better production (once they begin laying) on standard chicken feed, rather than corn and scraps and some forage.

If possible you should give them grower or all flock feed now as well. At least your flock gets protein instead of veggies only as protein is important for growth, but since most of a chicken's growth takes place in the first 6 months, so you want to set them up for success by ensuring they get an optimized mix of nutrients.

Thank you! I'll do that! I was with the impression that cracked corn with DDG which is part of our feed for cattle has pretty high protein, and so I started giving it to them too.

The easiest and best part of using commercial feed is that it has the right mix of vitamins/minerals/amino acids for poultry added to it.
