So I have one Pullet who is constantly laying soft shelled eggs.

She is a new layer so I know it may take a bit of time but all of our other layers have perfectly fine, hard shelled eggs and lay regularly.

They get layer feed and baked shells separately available.

This is the only Pullet with issues.

We’ve given them antibiotics in case it was an infection, so it is not that.

I bought calcium citrate as a recommendation from here but these pills are HUGE! Can you really put one in their beaks????

Hello! Someone else told me to get calcium citrate tablets for my hen who was having some problems with laing. And yes! I agree! The tablets are huge😲 so what I usually do is I get a hammer or a big heaving rock and break the tablet into lots of pieces, usually about 6 so it's easier to give to her. I didn't want to give her the whole tablet incase it got stuck in her throat or something 🤷‍♀️😂

How long have you been doing it? Did it help? And do you give it everyday?

I have been doing it for about a week now and be giving every night before she sleeps. I have saw a wee bit of improvement in her energy/motivation but it hasn't helped her lay an egg yet. I don't think it's as good as people make it out to be
