This is a little hard lesson I've learned this year; NEVER sell a bird until you've seen it's offspring!

She's a love, Twyla. I, for one, am thoroughly happy that you sold some birds this summer! I can't express how much I love mine.
Picasso changed quite a bit, didn't he? And he is STUNNING!
This reminds me of the old proverb "Thou Shallt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's Chickens."

OK it's not that old. OK I just made it up. I am Coveting, though!

Yes, Picasso has changed a lot, he's at a bit of an awkward stage right now. He's not turning out quite the way I like but I think he'll be a nice addition to the calico pen next spring.
Angelo, hasn't changed much at all!

Lol, I'm so happy that you got some of Monet's babies, I will say one of the few! I just didn't hatch very many because I didn't know how they'd turn out.
I had a guy coming from 2 hours away this summer to buy one of Monet's boys. The night before he was to come here, the little guy was killed by a raccoon or something. This guy was more than half way here and I called him, I decided to sell him this extra pair I had instead. After he left, I found an egg in the pen and thought I'd toss it and then thought I might as well throw it in the incubator.....thus Gabriella . Lol

Twyla, I "love" these boys~! My girls are dainty & feminine,but my heart is with my boys. I have one that looks very similar to your Picasso. Is he from Monet? Did you see my Calico cockerel on the MF thread. He is the only one this past year that has stayed white.

I hear ya about keeping the kids till you are "positive" they don't fit your program. I've kept mine almost a year to see how they develop. I've made the mistake of culling too soon That's why Amy & I are OVERRUN with fluffy butts~!!!!

I hadn't looked at Picasso's baby pictures until tonight, was a little shocked at how much he did change! I have no idea who he's out of either! I put a few Calicos in with my mottled roo, a few mottled in with Monet y and even a few mottled in with my buff columbians. I'm guessing that my mottled roo is his daddy.
You know, I've never even been on the MF thread! Think I need to check it out!
