Calico Princess...with a beard?

Calico Princesses are dominant red barred to my understanding. This bird is not. Her variety is not the same. Since she's an Easter Egger, she's not a standardized variety, but if I had to come up with the closest one it would be chamois-pencilled. Definitely not dominant red barred and hatchery birds are not random mixes
But they also come in light barred like hers mine looks like her but acept she is a calico princess and has no muffs.

I got her at my local hardware store. She was in a bin of chicks from Hoover’s. They didn’t have any Easter Eggers so who knows 🤷‍♀️ I thought she looked like an Easter Egger too. Guess we’ll find out when she lays an egg!
Mix-ups are unfortunately pretty common. At least you might get some nice colored eggs!

I know but thats not the point of what im saying. Im saying that it sunch a coincidence of how the EE is the same color as a calico princess which it was sold as.
It could be a coincidence, but either way the bird is an Easter Egger. The color similarity to a Calico Princess doesn't mean anything.

Calico Princess don't have muffs, so the coloring doesn't really matter because the muff makes her a mix.
Thats not what I ment im saying itt may be a coincidence.
Easter eggers can come in any color. Even if it was a mix with a Calico Princess, you wouldn't call it a Calico Princess mix, because the correct term is Easter Egger, or many of the names they are called.

Thanks for the information . but its cool its a coincidence.

While we’re on the topic of hatchery chick mix-ups, this is supposed to be a Buff Orpington, but I’ve been very doubtful about its coloring. It seems so dark and her legs are yellow!!!

She's a New Hampshire Red (or possibly a Buff Rock, but she looks a little dark for that).
