Speaking of chicks...

I planned on editing this entry to redirect anyone interested in chicks to my auction listing... but, believe it or not, I just had a gal come and buy all the chicks - cockerels included!

Hmn... you're right, Tommy. I have all this info posted for sale on the correct pages... I guess I thought I was just passing it on.

I'll edit that post to just direct folks to where the info is if they're interested.

I'm posting on this thread in hopes that perhaps there are some breeders from So Cal out there who are not yet listed here. I have a pretty specific wish list - am thinking about getting a silkie, a D'Uccle and a Polish or a Marans this spring and would like to get them from a breeder if possible. I'm willing to drive a bit - LA, Riverside, maybe even San Diego.

The catch is that I really cannot have a rooster so I may have to end up ordering from MyPetChicken since they do offer sexing, but I think they ship from the East coast and am a little concerned about how stressful that might be on the babies - I know you have to order a larger number from them, so if I can't find a regional breeder and anyone else out there is interested in sharing an order, let me know...

If you buy from me you could get a pullet guaranted and trade back any roos. Pullet guaranteed is more $ though... just saying...

I will have the following breeds available soon. They are in the incubator as we speak. Blue/Black silkies, Mottled Javas, blue feathered olive eggers. Copper black marans, Barred Olive Eggers, Muscovy ducks, Mille Fleur F2 and F3 chicks, Large Dark Brahmas. Not laying yet, but hopefully soon, Midget Whites and Bourbon Red turkeys.

Onthespot - I've actually been poring over your web site quite a bit the last few days. You have everything I want except for the Polish, so it's definitely a possibility. I just have such a fear of getting a rooster - since I raise mine basically as pets I know I'll get attached and then I hate to think of poor Mr. Rooster's fate...

If I do add to my flock it will likely be in May or June - will you have day-old-chicks then? (that may be like asking a cobbler if he has shoes, but I'm kind of new to all this

Edit: just realized you said you COULD guarantee a pullet which is TOTALLY worth the extra $ so that's very exciting!
