California - Northern

Glad to read everyone is doing good.
Thanks for the update about the azure feed. I'm looking forward to some better quality feed for my birds.
I wish I could come pick olives with you Kim. I live olive oil with a passion! I'm going to Ohio for a week on Saturday to spend time with some family I.haven't seen in awhile. I'm very very anxious to get back already.
I got in a minor wreck yesterday morning up past shingletown on SR 44. 3 cars in the accident and none hit each other or was really injured. I had a little pain in the middle of my back yesterday but im more than ok. Im blessed

I also wanted to ask you bamboo gurus what kind of bamboo this is I have.

I can share your troubles. It looks like yesterday someone took Louie. I'm sorry Ron! It has to be a bobcat there are a few feathers at the fence. Nothing else could take him and jump a 7 foot fence on a steep hill. He was huge and protective a perfect rooster. I think he must have attacked her and saved the flock no one else is gone and no way you wild pock hi, over silkies. She was pregnant and on her what to her den last year she was here for about a week. She is early.

I'm sorry that hawk is after your Penn's. Hopefully you move soon and he does not follow.

Hey wildflower.

Yes im in Anderson.

Thank you SOO much for the info about AS. I've been trying to find a way to get some. I want to get my layers on it before the spring so I can offer corn free soy free eating eggs.

I'll send you a PM now!
Hey wildflower. I'm in redding as well and would love to get more information!

. I am going to google what animals like to attack hawks and get some of those
Not as mad about this hen as my empordanesa.
He did not get either of my two white empordanesa hens. he went after the one that was most hard to see which is strange.

Ron, can you give an Ivermectin summary for me? :-) I know you know and it's been on here but so hard to find things in the thread. Pour on available at TSC, injection would have to order at Jefferson supply. I've never wormed but was thinking nows the time as I am about to reshuffle everyone and I know the eggs will stop so might as well kill two birds with one stone. I'd be looking at about 200-250 chickens to treat.

I would get the injectable form Jeffers, much cheaper and there is not hurry really.

How sad!

I hope you were able to hatch a replacement. If not, I plan on getting more hatching eggs form Linda Hammid next hatching season.

Oddly, I am proud of him too. He was a good boy protecting the flock!
