How sad!

I hope you were able to hatch a replacement. If not, I plan on getting more hatching eggs form Linda Hammid next hatching season.

Oddly, I am proud of him too. He was a good boy protecting the flock!
we will see. Deb has 12 and I have 12 emp's brewing . this was my 2 year old partridge.
My Jersey was in the coop with the rest of them.

Hi Jason!

I was replying about the rooster that I was going to sell to Lucas, that became Chiqitas, and was eaten by a cougar yesterday.

The reply does work for you but in a slightly different way. Today something weird happened. I have a quick link to My Fly Babies on my browser, which I clicked and the next thing I knew I was ordering Partridge Pene hatching eggs.

I don't know when I will get them and I don't know if any of them will hatch LOL but If there are enough I will share them with you!

Took his 4th chicken.
My crazy Partridge penedesenca hen that was so funny. would run around screaming. really did not like me much.
My big rooster is not the answer.
so tomorrow back in the covered run.

Awww Jason, I'm sorry!

Maybe I should get a few Emu's

.

I know you're speaking in jest, but wow, not the answer. I was at Mary's and witnessed her emu's trying to kill Lucca her Icelandic hen. Looked just like the velaciraptors in Jurassic Park!

I'd LOVE to hatch an emu and raise the chick (for awhile), I would NOT keep an emu after what I saw!

. Some of the eggs have that terrible glow of an empty dark egg, some of them look a little darker, like there is some hope. Of course I'm just going to leave them all in. They are due to lockdown on Christmas Eve....................so good hatching vibes everyone for Jason!

Deb

I can share your troubles. It looks like yesterday someone took Louie. I'm sorry Ron! It has to be a bobcat there are a few feathers at the fence. Nothing else could take him and jump a 7 foot fence on a steep hill. He was huge and protective a perfect rooster. I think he must have attacked her and saved the flock no one else is gone and no way you wild pock hi, over silkies. She was pregnant and on her what to her den last year she was here for about a week. She is early.
I'm sorry that hawk is after your Penn's. Hopefully you move soon and he does not follow.

Oh no! So sorry ! Was he my FCBM's daddy? He is gorgeous! BTW, looks as if I ended up with one boy, one girl. The other two I have no idea as of yet. All of them are doing well, growing so fast!

Yes it was.

I still have a faint hope he is hiding somewhere. There was no blood just a few feathers. He used to discipline the young roos in the corner I just thought one had gotten fiesty and Louie had layed down some discipline.

We organised how we could use existing structures to keep them inside for a week while she goes away. I'm gonna have some mad chickens. But at least they can get some light and give me some eggs. I have to remember before she comes next year to put everyone inside.
