California - Northern

I hope you find someone to split with you on this. I have to find places for the chicks I hatched three weeks ago to make room for the February Order.

I am looking forward to getting them--SG dorkings and Partridge Rocks

Hi Kim C,

Yes! I am hoping the Marans is a pullet. I think I have three cockerels and three pullets from the Americanas. I hope the Wheaten one with blue will be a pullet.

I am supposed to have 6 hens for a limit, but should be able to keep 15

so I will have to trade around. I plan on keeping a couple of the Dorking/partridge rock group too. I may even try to hide a rooster. \\

One of my neighbors had one for a couple of years, so it is doable here.

I have a silver penciled plymouth rock hen & mille fleur leghorn hen, about a year old if he wants those breeds

This sounds like someone who doesn't care about the breed, just a guy who wants a good egg layer. I don't know him, I get calls from people who simply want egg layers or meat birds. I'll send you his info.

Wow, just got another call from a guy in Woodland. He wants to try duck eggs, eating duck eggs. If he likes them, he will be a regular customer. So, if you have duck eggs and are near Woodland, contact me and I'll pass on the info.

Here is an update on the chickens I hatched in December. They are six weeks old now. I took the pictures yesterday. I posted a thread on the Breeds/Gender section and the responders think I have one rooster and one to watch

This is Maranda/o

This is a group shot. They have names like popcorn, chocolate, blue(that's the lavender one) I want to wait to name them, since they don't look the same when they get older.

This one is a Cockeral?

This one has a funny bump on comb.

This one has a nice bit of blue.

I will keep two of the pullets.
