They are having loads of fun!

I take them out every morning and let them run around in their "own" fenced off area - they have been eating grass and bugs and digging all kinds of holes around the trees. I have the crate for them to go into when its time to go to bed, and I bring them in the house again.

Minnie likes to tell Dixi when its time to go to bed - she talks to Dixi and tells her to get out of the way. She also tells me when its time to bring them outside for the day - and scolds me when I am late.

I was watching them through the glass door. That Dixi is a goofball! She will be standing there and all of a sudden takes off at a run. First she runs one way - then another -then shakes her head and looks around like "did anybody see that"?

Oh, so glad you got an egg from one of your other girls! Isn't it just the cutest thing?
Edited to add about egg, just reading through the thread..
They are such characters! I miss having them in my flock, but I know you will get ALOT of joy by having them.

I was thrilled to hear her egg song at 7:00 in the morning! She was hanging around the nest the day before, and had not laid since she went broody, so I figured she wanted to brood again. I was wrong! Such a cute little cream egg.

Deann Thank you again for these eggs. 5 look to have a head dot. 2 more chipmunky. 1 looks like a female crele chick. Hard to tell in the bator though.

I like how he has white legs. This is good. I think white is dominant over yellow. I like that look better personally. that comes from the pene blood.
I say keep him. Put some cl xcp crosses cream legbar crosses and a few of the pure crele's you get from the eggs I give you.
That way you are working on a few projects in 1. see what the f2's give. I think olive to olive will be olive.
Olive to brown would be your best bet at Darker eggs.
Olive to Blue probably green.
If you do not want him I will take him. Not sure when I will be there again though.
Creles I get from you!!! ooooooh I can't wait.

Ok.. I will keep him for now and see how he grows out. I wish I had kept some of the roos from earlier hatches.. live and learn. I look forward to comparing notes with you and Ron and hopefully developing this project together. What fun. I am sooo impressed with the egg color... it makes it all worthwhile.

Right now, my CL X CP offspring are in with my Crele Laced Polish roosters. I am planning to put them with my CL rooster tomorrow until I have a mature OE Roo.

I have 10 OE eggs X Polish in the bator. I thought it would be fun to hatch some eggs before I remove them from the flock. 100% of the eggs are developing - due to hatch 1/7. Yikes. I wonder what these chicks are gonna look like. Crele Olive Egger Polish.. now that will be a site to see.

I wouldn't mind hatching some of those eggs. The egg color was beautiful and the chicks are adorable. Today I did some coop swapping. I added two blue & two splash Marans Hens in with a blue isbar rooster ... Im excited to see what the chicks and eggs turn out like..

Yep, I have been moving everyone around too and plan to do more coop swapping soon. I am sure the swapping will mess everyone but better now when production is low than later. I'd be happy to send you some eggs. I am gonna throw the OE (CL X CP pullets ) in with the CL roo tomorrow so I am sure everyone will protest so I expect productivity to drop, but I will be happy to send you eggs when it picks up.

I believe they came from greenfirefarm ...I got them in trade. I only have one breeding pair. They are big and beautiful. They are bright white with beautiful blue legs. I named them Hansel and Gretel.... They are so sweet

Why did I think Breese laid white eggs? If they lay blue eggs, then I need to have them--I guess I could put a hutch up in the front yard

Quote: I will look at the R-com incubators again. Thank You

I have all 7 still since I am not completely sure which are roos--I will keep taking pictures of them so you can see how they turn out. I think I have 3 pullets and 4 Roos but I could very well be off on one of the ones I think are roos.

The Barnie OEs look like one of each for the two of them.
