I couldn't help myself. The OE X Polish are soo cute - they have beards but no crests.... yet. I expect the crests to come in with the adult feathers at 3-4 weeks. I will take some pictures. I hope they lay olive eggs like their mommies.

I've got my fingers and toes crossed that you caught it in time and all goes well till hatch.
I had a low of 74 yesterday on mine, husband pulled out sensor and put it on the counter, I was a little freaked until I figured out what happened.

How creative! I love the carrots!

Making the order as early as possible would be best. They sell out quick and get overrun with orders, which is the cause for many of the delays that you hear about. I certainly understand about lack of funds, just wanted to let you know that the longer you wait to make the order, the more you risk not getting the chicks that you want.

Woohoo to you and Deb!
dont miss the order do to me. I had it aside but my new white empordanesa rooster is calling to me ...

I will order in a few weeks if I need to with my boss.

one of my layers coming up to the patio for a treat. Her name is Chubbykins and is my sisters favorite.

Another two. The EE is BabyHawk and she is a little greaser, meaning she is mainly found with my dad in the garage or in the car shop picking at whatever moves. the BA is one of my defective hens, she had white in her feathers and her name is yet to be decided.

She is beautiful.  I need to find a way to collect the blue.................maybe someone coming to Stockton?

Gee Deb, I could pick her up and bring her to Stockton for you. That is if I don't "accidentally" forget her and leave her at home and then change my phone number and email so that you can never find her! [insert evil laugh here]. How are the Olandsk doing?

Chiquita - are we going to see you in Stockton?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gives chickens interesting names. I nick-named one of my hens "Walter" for a while.... yes, a hen.

In your signature, there's the part with "This weeks chicks", surely that doesn't mean each week is a new batch of chicks... right?

The Olandsk are doing great and have settled right in. They are currently in quarantine and then will move into their own coop/run. They were so tame when I moved them from the crates in my truck. Literally once I picked them up, they just settled into my hand. And they are the plumpest little things, seem to be way "meatier" than serama. I guess I should be talking about muscling instead with such a tiny breed, but what's the difference really, LOL
