I can't believe how fast quail grow... They have tripled in size in one week...Crazy!

Deb, I have three different colors? Does that mean three different kinds?

Yeah and after all the rain, everything is iced. Fell on my steps this morning - got down them fine, but coming back up didn't go so well. I'm waiting for it to get above freezing before I thaw the waterers - don't want to do it twice.

Yes, I'd have to go back and look at my chick/adult pics to show you what they'll look like. Or wait a month and they'll be adults and laying eggs themselves...................

OK, so how do you see it's someones birthday? I only know when someone says Happy Birthday......Happy Birthday Chooks!

Either the person mentions it's their bday or like in Chooklets case, someone else knew and wished her a happy birthday. Of course if you get organized (like I used to be), once someone mentions it, keep a list and I'd know then for next year.

They are adorable!!! What is it about baby birds and other animals that makes them irresistible???

Happy belated birthday Chooklet!

X2!

Kelly, I hope that you are ok, after your fall! Ouch! Falls hurt so much more, the older you get.

Laura, did you try giving your girl some electrolytes? I really like Life Lytes, seems to make a difference in times of stress.

Most of my chickens have access to grass. The ones that don't prefer alfalfa hay to pellets or cubes. Last summer, my Dellies were going through a flake a week.

Someone back in here mentioned chickens eating styrofoam and surviving. They were lucky. One of my Buckeye hens, that I rehomed to my grandson's house, died after eating styrofoam.
