I do the same thing...try to read and keep up but don't get to respond and post as much as I'd like. I'm glad there is an avid silkie breeder on this thread, because you can never see enough silkie pictures. (I think I'm subscribed to 3 or 4 silkie threads-LOL)

Congratulations on your new black silkies. They look very NICE. Your partridge silkies are great. Can you tell yet if they have boy or girl feather coloring?

Here's to lots of pullets=momma partridge silkies!

I am subscribed to several as well Black and partridge are my favorites. I cant tell for sure about some of the partridge. The little older one is a pullet Im sure and the smallest.. the others.. no guess yet! Shouldnt be too long though. they are starting to feather out a bit more. Love the blacks but have to wait for the cockerels to row up to do any breeding..Lost my black rooster The partridge arent laying so I am hatching whites right now ! I never get enough silkies pics either !!!

My Bator is full. Three yesterday and 4 today they are laying ... Well I just got done moving them.

My bator is full of assorted eggs. If someone wants to come get them this weekend let me know.
I wish I could of waited a few days to set these too but

I saw this post just before bed and of course dreamed about dark colored eggs all night.

I have a lot of room in my incubator. It must be time for a road trip!

My Penny, who made me fall in love with Australorps. She cowers down when I call her and waits to be picked up. Such a sweetie! She's about 8 months old. I have her sister and then another younger BA. Just ordered 4 more and a rooster for an April delivery. So excited!!

thanks Molly. Still really tired and congested though not contagious. Doctor said it may take another week before I feel better and 8 more days of coughing maybe.

She just said whatever I do do not get another fever.
So off I go to work on the run.

Thanks to Chiqita- I am getting me a fixer upper bator. Hovabator. It doesn't have the hygrometer or therm on it. Recommends for this part?

I vill be testing zee ducky eggs when I get it fixed up. Sweet!
