Wow, that is horrible. so sorry
I think that I have it all taken care of now. I just spent 1 1/2 hr on hold with PayPal and then 30 min with the nicest lady. She took care of everything for me and told me that I had done everything right. I am opening a new bank account to link to PayPal and then I think that everything should be okay. It had been a while since I changed my eBay and PayPal passwords. I won't make that mistake again.

The model of the bator is 1602N

I do have the wafer too it's not on it right now though

That is a terrible thermometer. The thermostat is part of the incubator control and on that one is probably a wafer thermostat.

The plug is used to help keep the temp and humidity in the correct range. I run mine without the plug--oxygen is needed for the developing chicks.

Go here: http://incubatorwarehouse.com/index.php/egg-incubator-accessories.html

The $14.99 incutherm works great! I have it in my hatcher currently and for hatching my old style Genesis is running at 98.8 with 72% humidity. They hatch great at those settings.

Search the site--they should have the clips too and even the thermostat controller thing if you need it. Does it get warm and cycle the temperature correctly?

What is the model number of that hovabator?
Ok so my thermostat is ok- but I should get the IncuTherm to monitor temps and humidity.

And I am missing a Red Plug on the lid right? There should be 2?

I am plugging it in - in a little bit and will see what all its doing. I am not entirely sure what it's supposed to be doing rofl! Getting warm?

Quote: Yes, there should be two plugs. I used tape for awhile to cover the hole to bring up the humidity - but it is better to leave them open as the chicks/eggs do need more air.

That is a very nice incubator, looks nice and clean. You will need to attach the "wafer" into the area to the left of the picture - where the yellow box is. There should also be a screw that goes thru the top to put it on. Without the wafer you will not be able to regulate the temperature.

You appear to have two broken trays - you can take them out and not use them until you get replacement trays. They are missing/broken where they would attach to the turner. The other possibility is they are in backwards - check the other end for the "arm"

The clip you showed is a paperclip - mine uses what look like cotter pin clips, straight wire goes thru the hole in the arm and an outer curvey wire to clip around the plastic.

Nice find!

P.S. - Ron's link lead me to find the turner parts: https://www.gqfmfg.com/store/comersus_listItems.asp?idCategory=50&orderBy=sku but you can use the paperclips like Deb said.

It says I am supposed to have 4 of these and I only have 2. I cannot find these parts online though.

Amy, you can buy those at any office supply in a box of 100. I just use regular paperclips on mine. If you use the color coated ones, they don't get icky as soon.

I threw away the red plugs. You need airflow, most people toss them.

If you really want to plug it, a piece of tape works well.
