Great news for those living in the Sacramento/Davis area. Western Feed and Pet is opening 7 stores in our area. The Sac Stores will have King Feed next week. The one in Davis will be opening in the Summer.

The Rep for King feed is going to send me an email with the date their feed will be available at the Sac stores along with coupon offers. I will share this with this thread.

Thank you Ron! The little rooster, Rocky, is so gentle and sweet! His ladies adore him.

. I am looking forward to an abundance of blue-green eggs. I just discovered that our golden hen, Madison, is an Ameraucan chicken. I adopted her at the shelter and was not sure what her breed was. I had some blue-green eggs in the hutch and thought they were my mallard's eggs. Natasha (my mallard hen) will sometimes climb into the chicken coop during the day. I recently figured out that the majority of the blue eggs were being layed by Madison. We should have lots of them when the Amercauna chicks mature. The rest of our eggs are brown. What kind of poultry do you have?

The little chick on the bottom left (Robin) is a bantam Silkie. I am not sure if she is going to be a buff or white Silkie I am also trying to figure out the gender. Here is a picture of Robin a couple of weeks ago I also adopted two female Jersye Giant chicks "Tracy and Olivia". I am very excited about these little sweethearts I have heard wondeful things about the breed
