Incubator ordered!!!!

Which one did you get?

I just walked into my bedroom and glanced out the window. My first thought..............how'd the turkeys get out? Nope, a flock of 31 full grown turkeys walking by. Of course when I opened the door to the deck they all moved to the far side of the lawn, but it was quite a sight.

I think he was trying to entice her into the next generation............LOL

Happy Birthday Debi and happy belated birthday to Pam!

I saw those skelters for sale at Western Feed in Davis.
Thank you! I had to work but since I own a wine bar and my wonderful customers brought food, balloons, posters, banners and presents, it wasn't like working at all! I'm really a lucky girl!
Quote: Years ago my husband forgot my birthday and it seemed like every year he had some excuse why he couldn't get me a present, "You always have the checkbook", "If I use my debit card, you'll see it online", yada yada yada....so one year I got myself a present, wrapped it up, signed his name to it and spent a LOT of money on it! I told him about a week before my birthday that he'd lost his privileges to buy me a present and so I would "help" him from now on. Every year I start tormenting him with how much he must love me, that I can't believe he's spend SOOOOOOOOOOO much money on meeeee!!!!!! He begs me to give him another chance! Swears he won't ever forget again! But it's really better this way, I'm not continually disappointed, he's not stressed over what to get me and really, it's fun. Neither one of us would change it now. After 34 years of marriage you figure out how to keep the peace!

WWW did it all on it's own, now resting up and drying off!

Congratulations! Sometimes just giving that little bit of room to get in a position to get out is all they need. Glad you took it slow and I'm glad you intervened sooner and gave it a chance while it wasn't too tired to do it itself.
Quote: to all with Birthdays!

I locked down 13 Bresse eggs last night. This is the 4th shipped eggs hatch in a row that has done this well. I expect most of them to hatch. I am incubating in the Brinsea Octagon 40 and hatching in a Genesis 1588. The Brinsea was expensive but then again so are those shipped eggs....The Brinsea is always spot on for temperature and humidity. I love it! The Genesis is great too. Both are good choices.
Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! I have the Brinsea Octagon 20 with the humidity pump all on....I cannot tell you how excited I am with the whole digital thing....really looks promising for easy peasy! Love hearing it's on spot! I'll set eggs on Saturday evening. Our kids invited us to go up to Butte Meadows and stay in a cabin, play in the snow, four wheel for the weekend so I won't have time to set anything until we get back.

Such great info!!! Thanks everybody!!! I'm so glad THAT isn't a worm, but I will treat the ladies anyway with the Wazine. Now that you mention it- they have been drinking & eating A LOT! So if I start treatment for the day today, when can we start eating the eggs again? And to disinfect the coop. What do you all normally use? I'm thinking vinegar would be good & non-toxic. Opinions? Thank you!!! !

Thanks, guys!!! Happy to announce that the poos are getting better!!! I have to do the Wazine again in 10 days?
How does everybody give ACV? I have been doing garlic water, but I want to do more natural things to deworm... suggestions?

Quote: That is great news!

Yes, treat again 10 days after the first treatment--gets ones that hatched from eggs. ACV is given in water. Do not use metal with it, use plastic. Something like 1 TBL per Gallon. I just pour some in.

Look for an Organic brand with the Mother in it.

Haha Mark has pointed that out to me, too.

I keep meaning to share this, it's a card we found at Target. Hope the language doesn't bother anyone! If it does I can delete it :)

I liked it so much we brought it home and framed it
