Quick question. I ordered 7 RIRs to fill my order with McMurray. They're all the same brown color, except one that is more of a yellow-ish light brown. It's feathers that it has on its wings are also lighter colored than her sisters. But she still has the same markings(that stripe down the back) that all the other RIR's have.

Is this normal?
She may be a New Hampshire red. More of a honey color.

Okay, I just took all the baby waterfowl for a bath and a graze on the lawn. I need to sort through the 100+ photos I took, but in the meantime, here is some ducky cuteness for you.

One of the call ducks I just hatched out

So many cute chicks! Guess I better add some of my own cuteness . . . These are Belgian d'Anver chicks that hatched on Friday. From left to right~ Dun Cuckoo, Dun Cuckoo, Dun Quail, Dun Quail, buff Columbian. I also hatched 8 W/BW Ameraucana chicks from my own birds but haven't taken pictures of them yet.

Pretty, adorable babies! I love their colors.

Time for the geese.

The whole gang.

African gander

Chinese gander

Chinese stretching after his bath

George (American) knows he is my favorite

He has a hole in his head, you can see in one nostril and right out the other side if you look carefully, LOL

I have lots of pictures of him chewing on the camera strap.

Who's behind me???
Awwwww! they look so soft and cuddly...priceless...

OK, Here they are

thanks, Deb -- I've been away all day (two-day sailing race this weekend, i'm so completely wiped out), but have now sent her a note -- great appreciation for the link!

and SO many cute chicks and ducklings and goslings photos -- i can't keep up!

Speckled Sussex from Privett

Choc Rock pair...check out the comb on the one I assume to be the boy The little girl looks black in the pic and her legs are super dark but she is a semi sweet chocolate color mostly

California Grey Girl from Privett and one of my mixed red layer babies. This was the first baby hatched. The wings are feathering in white with grey brown specks
Pretty chicks, I love the color of the CA. Grey.

Thanks! I'd definitely consider sharing an order of eggs or chicks from Boggy Bottom Bantams as well, their birds look so amazing...but I can only have 3 more pullets (according to city legislature) and I couldn't imagine giving away a single beautiful d'Anver! I'm such a softie.
Thank-you

If I hatch more eggs or decide not to work with one of these colors I will keep you in mind

I got my hatching eggs from Boggy Bottom Bantams. He has every color imaginable

Created most of them himself! You should go to his website and look at all the photos of his birds.
I have no willpower, if I looked I would want one of each and they would all be boys with my luck. It is tough to get rid of boys not big enough to eat up here. Aside from the fact that I've got pens to build and I think I really want to try some friendly quail. Mariah still needs her dove loft built also.
