California - Northern

Most of yesterday's hatch, (so far) - 34 golden campine, 2 OE (BCM x araucana), 1 lakenvelder & 3 serama. A few chicks are still drying in the incubator, a few eggs are still pipped (they were due today).

Why do I keep singing - "one of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong"?
they are cute Deb. Love them Campines
So cute- congrats!!

I've been wondering too. <3

You dedication to your pup is heartwarming. <3
Me to. I have seen her adds on Craigslist
Another Jefferson state resident. (Redding CA.) I grew up in Kansas on a farm. I could not wait till I was old enough to leave the farm. Now I am 47 and wish I was back I Kansas.

(I didn't know that).. nobody would think to do it! Manhattan, East 10th Street, 18 stories high.. I really don't see somebody saying "Gee, why don't we get some chickens?"

Although.. if you didn't mind the chicken poops they would clean out the cockroaches...

They have coops on the roofs of the apartment buildings--along with community gardens.

It seems that the Classy places allow chickens while places attempting to be classy will not let you have chickens....Backwards?

OK l have a ex roo with super sperm . one of the girls mossyoak got from me looks like muffler2 was her father.

These chicks are about a month younger then the last eggs I thought could have had some possible OEsperm in them.

So that is 9 or more weeks for ssperm to live.

Anyone ever heard of such a thing? Maybe the egg was older and I put it in,but even then that is an old egg....

Most of that went over my head.

. An ex roo? What is it now? I'm not an expert on super sperm, but 9 weeks seems like a long time....

plus a few others in there
Are you asking which are roo's? Or what kind are they? I'd say #6 pic by the water-er.

That is so weird!

Welcome to BYC and the Nor Cal thread. :welcome

Why do you wish you were back in Kansas?  I can understand wishing to go back in time to when things were simpler.. but I wouldn't want to go back to where I lived growing up (New York City?)... not nowadays... no chickens there either...

They do have a lot of pigions in NYC. So why not chickens LOL.
