I get the big flat fruit boxes (with handles) from Costco. I know what can be stacked and what can't. It took 7 boxes this year to move it all.

The campine are growing and their wings are starting to feather. I haven't really looked at them yet to sex them.

Nothing yet on the OD, I think they are due today or tomorrow.

"See! My comb isn't that red against this orange bucket!!!"
I think your pullet turned into a cockerel....

Help! What's going on with my SL Polish? :( I haven't seen anyone picking it...They're 6 weeks old and this chick is the only one with this problem. Please click the top picture to see the full size version so you can better see what it looks like..If needed I can get better pictures.
Do you have just one SL Polish? It may be a Polish thing. Some breeds feather slowly and it does not take too much feather pulling to bare their skin. Upping the protein often stops feather picking. Calf Mana or mixing in some Turkey grower may help. You could also pick up some Ultrakibble for Chicks from TSC. You might want to get some Blu Kote on the bare skin.
It's not a Polish thing...at least not one I've ever seen and I've been breeding for about 3 years. Have you checked for mites? It's an odd spot to see them pick, they usually go for the crest and this looks more worn off then picked at. I wouldn't hurt to dust her and see if you see a change.
I just went to check on them this morning and saw some of the girls pecking at his(now slightly bloody) tail. I put them out to free range so they'll leave him alone until I can go get some Blue Kote later today. A question, for anyone... After a couple days being locked in the coop, I'm letting them free range for the first time(well, the first time since living in the coop. I used to let them free range once in a while when they were still living in the indoor brooder). Their food and water is in the coop, will they know to jump back in there to eat/drink when they need to?

They probably will go back tonight.

Definitely get blu kote on that polish.

Pies
First places - Cherry, Apricot, Lemon meringue (this won BIS for the last four years straight, but I changed my crust recipe this year for the heck of it and got dinged), banana cream
Second place - Chocolate cream
Third place - Blackberry
Congratulations on all the wins! But seriously, who places a Blackberry pie third?

Most likely, but they'll get most of their food free ranging.
