Deb stole my thunder by posting before me. I'm gonna say it anyway................. It's a pretty safe bet that ANY breed you are looking for, Deb most likely has it.

I guess I shouldn't tell you about the REALLY odd stuff I have.....................Tomaru Longcrowers, Auburn Sumatras, Black Bresse, Crele Orpintons..................ummm, I'd have to think about what else is out there, LOL

Well.. no Longcrowers for me - I have enough noise and I don't need it to go on for hours. Besides, they just crack me up! However, Auburn Sumatras sound really pretty, and I love the temperament and QUIET of the Sumatras. If you ever have any spares... let me know please?

Will do, I'm still growing out youngsters, so I'm not near eggs even.

I only had one hatch   And now I've moved them out of a breeding pen, I needed the space.  They did lay one last egg that went into the incubator, but until they get space of their own again, any eggs would be OD/SL polish crosses

I don't have sebrights, did you mean campines?  They are about ten days old and I can make a pretty good guess.  They appear to be 9 boys and 18 girls!

Sounds like od are harder to Breed than I thought? They seem like the perfect breed for my location.... Ahh back to the thinking board.... Snow hardy, sweet, calm Roos, multipattern landrace...
Perhaps I am heading for serama? But what on earth do people do with their culls? Make toothpicks!?!

We have a guest staying in the growout pen. It looks like she was hit with a slingshot or pellet gun & her right wing is injured. It's not broken, & she seems to be mending quickly. Hopefully, she'll be flying again in a few days & we can let her go. The rest of the local murder has been talking with her every day. And talking. Loudly.

Be sure to clean the area really well after she's gone. I put a wild bird my husband found in with my lone chick and she got sick and died

BCM hatched today on day 19 the 108 degree day must of pushed the hatch date up lol. There are 7 other eggs under mama chicken hope to have more babies in the am.

I will, I'm currently growing out about a dozen silvers, but I'm planning to hatch another batch of them soon.

hurrah! maybe i can drive up to the hills for a visit right around the time you decide you have too many & need to offload a few...

She almost certinly have mites so spray with permectin (sp) if you have it.

I second Liz's thought on taking care of the crow. My Dad brought home an injured Magpie from deer camp when I was a kid. I still remember it going through re-hab on the table under a laundry basket. Goofey bird would try to eat anything!

So good to here that Penny has come home. I freak when the gate is open, none of our dogs have any street smarts. If the greyhound got out I have no idea how far he would go, the downside of sighthounds.

While some of you are winding down on the hatching, I'm trying to work out hatching at our fair. We have been given a wall to line with incubators, broodies. Now to work out the timing and hope we aren't going through a heat wave in mid-August.

DH came in yesterday and told me I have to get pictures of the Hitchhikers, the chicks are riding around on the blrw broodies, the splash chicks really stand out against the blue, I don't think he would notice if they weren't so different in color.
