I'm running out to Home Depot right now to get some. I hate being outside in this weather, and I have to work during most of it.

So, what are your opinions on the gender of my little Bantam Partridge Cochin, "it" is 4 weeks old. He's looking a little Roo-ey to me. If he is, is there any one out there that wants him? Oh, and some how I prevented one of the Pendesenca's from Jason, from tuning into a boy. At this point it looks like 2 boys, and 2 girls.

That is a very nice looking Boy!

Congratulations, I guess. Enjoy him while you can. Mine have to go away when they crow.....

Just back from perfect antidote for hot summer night - fresh peach milkshakes from Whitey's Jolly Kone in West Sacramento. Perfect cool down. Thank goodness the peach season is short as those shakes are as addictive as they are fattening!

My forecast is saying 107 for Sunday. But what is 3 degrees huh?

Now AccuWeather says Saturday 104, Sunday 108 and Monday 110. I hope they are wrong and it does not get that hot.

Also, people in my neighborhood are already lighting their illegal fireworks a week early.

Bonus tonight was hot rod club gathering in their parking lot. Classic music, shiny cars, very retro vibe. Soaked it in as we savored our shakes. Not much beats ripe peach shakes at Whitey's.

I think today was the first day the legal ones could be sold. They get kind of loud over this way on the 4th. I swear some of it is dyn-o-myte!!!!

They look so cute at the age of the top picture. Like little raptors.

The bigger ones are coming along nicely.
