If it developed saddle feather or neck feathers that are pointed its a boy. But the extra fancy chicks from hatcheries 90% of the time are the extra males they hatch and not really unsexed chicks.
You will will know for sure when there is either an egg or a crow!

Enjoy Him or Her!

Nutridrench I might have gotten at tractor supply. Do you have poly via Sol vitimans and molassas? It is similar to nutri. It is just a pick me up if essentials are missing and gives her energy to fight.

I don't know anything about discharge from mouth. I have had nose discharge ( that is tylan and seperate them anything that is resp travels fast.) Mouth discharge is usually croup stuff.
yeah will give her poly vi sol

I remembered the batteries for the camera today.

We visited Kim's Ranch in Guinda today.

There was a Blue Egg Layer from the UofA reunion.

The Boy saw the girl:

(I hatched the two Crele Penedesencas from Json's flock. They are standing at the back)

Then the Girl moved closer to watch the Boy dance for her:

CapayValleyChick has New Heritage Delawares from KathyinMo. They are 10 weeks old and a Broody Dorking was out taking a break and was trying to mother one of them. Such big babies for a Momma Dorking!

There are Sheep, pigs and Dexter Cattle on the farm!

Very nice Sheep!

Quote: So its most likely a boy then? At what age will I be able to know for sure?

It's most likely a boy, but should make itself known for sure within another month or two.

When he said discharge from the mouth, I took that as sometimes if you pick up a bird with problems and the water in it's crop will just run back out. As opposed to a true discharge.

Unfortunately, very thin bird that seemed fine otherwise, makes you have to consider Marek's. How old is she? How did her coordination seem?

Pictures continue!

Pita Pintas at 2 weeks old. They are starting to turn white and the black spots are getting bigger. The one on the right was mad at me--I took him away from his food!

All better now! They are really chowing down.
