California - Northern

I'm looking for some cream legbar hens and a roo. Anyone know of anyone with some for sale? laying or Close to laying?
I may have extra cream girls, I plan to do some more sorting this weekend. 100% I know that I have several extra white legbars. Identical to the creams other than being solid white. Same crest, same huge beautiful blue eggs.

Oh, and for sure I have spare cream boys too.

I will never get to feel like a homesteader because I can't keep my Roosters. Now I am probably moving to an even smaller patch of earth, but at least this one is mine.
Ali: I can't really either. Melvin stays in the garage until 9AM. Even my chickens are illegal. I'm a rebel illegal chicken farmer.

. And yest Princess Celestia from My Little Ponies.
I kept meaning to say they make a lovely couple, will be really interesting to see how the chicks come out!
I thought it might be fun. They both have beards, so maybe I'll get a bunch of bearded chicks.

Oh man! I just realized you're like 4 hours away:(

Chiquita won't have any pure eggs for another 30 days. I finally got flame in a cage he can't get out of.
I'm so sorry your house fell through Ali that is heartbreaking!

I mis-wrote, the seller decided last night, the day after Escrow was opened, he didn't want to sell the property after all. I had three days of excitement and planning before it got stopped.

Their agent was discussing the well and septic inspections (paid for by me) and asking for times / dates to accommodate scheduling them when the elderly male owner suddenly decided he didn't want to sell the property after all. He also told his (mature) daughter to leave as she was no longer welcome there. It was quite shocking.

I can TOTALLY understand the fear of change, of "giving up" property one has owned and occupied for thirty years. It doesn't stop me from being hugely disappointed.

argh, that sounds so incredibly frustrating -- i went through a series of crazy ups and downs similar to that in the course of trying to buy this place, which was a "short sale" and took a full nine months to finally go through, with all kinds of heart-stopping changes and unexpected roadblocks along the way. i still occasionally worry (two years later!) that suddenly something else will pop up and the whole thing will come apart -- but it DID work out, so i count myself extremely lucky.

best of luck with your continued search!!
