7 GORGEOUS and healthy Breda babies are literally bouncing in my incubator right now.

I am so pleased. 7 out of 12 eggs, with 10 going into lockdown, is great. I'm so extremely happy.

so exciting about the hatchers! i've got marans AND isbar eggs coming in the mail, so excited...

AND i got a first pullet egg from my teenaged pen yesterday! a small creamy-colored egg, most likely suspects are either a silver campine or a swedish flower hen. here's the line-up -- marans egg, then pullet egg, amelia egg, and light sussex egg:

My chick is peeping bloody murder... she's lonely I hope the other 4 eggs hatch....


if not.... does anyone have any brand new chicks or any due really soon? She'll need a friend.

I have some that hatched 10/3 and have some due to hatch 10/15. I am in Novato so a bit of a hike from you.

My grandmother insisted I play meditation music for the chick 24/7 so I'm doing that lol. She actually likes it...

My chicks have to listen to my kids play Grand Theft Auto and Mortal Combat. I wonder what that does to their psyche?

LOL. I had the chick listening to a Latino soap opera for a while. Maybe she'll go off peeping in Spanish
