Bandettes and zip ties. They come in a lot of colors. The zip ties need to be changed as the chick grows and then move to Bandettes once they get big enough.

What is the best marker for different chicks? What kind of bands etc?
I use the little colored rubber bands for newly hatched and then switch to colored zip ties when they are older. The zip ties are easy to snip off and put on a new one plus they come in a variety of colors & sizes.

ah like colored rubber bands for braces? thats a good idea too thanks. i think i will do both
 
some of my chickens are out in the rain and soaked. are they going to die tonight if it freezes?!

No. They take rain fine as long as they have a place to dry out at night.

thank you i was worried if they were soaked and then it got super cold. theyre bird brains just pecking around in the dang rain lol!
