California - Northern

Ahh.

In any case, I am sorry to hear your husband has passed. You should send me a message when you're going to be passing through Sacramento. Would love to meet up for coffee!

(I'm always open to meeting any BYC-er for coffee!!)

I love Starbucks!

Actually I love any place that nakes a good mocha. LOL

Just gotta warn you that Bill was the smart one of this pair and I'm pretty boring.

BUT it's always great to find someone who will talk chickens.

Posting all over the place.

Just got my first Lav AM to hatch!!!

I'm so happy!

My FBCMs haven't started laying yet since their moult. I don't have any chicks or started birds until these freeloaders start up again. There are lots of FBCM owners in California. I have Two pullets and a roo that I hatched out in April. They have Prestely/Fox/Valentine lines. My pullets are just starting to redden up.

I have another flock of Bev Davis FBCMs. They are much older and like I said, just went through a moult. Thing is I don't have chicks from them yet and when they start laying again I'm going to be hatching like crazy.

CherylCohen has some chicks she's selling. If I counted right she has them listed 13-14 posts before you on this thread.

If you don't find any in the next month or two let me know and I may have chicks at least by then.

You could also try hatching out eggs and get a head start. There are some on the auction pages. Also check the 24 hour Auction thread.

Sorry I can't help you right now. I'm working on hatching out a fresh flock and since my girls are older, they had slowed down some even before the moulting started. I need to work on mine so I'm ready for spring. I do have some others waiting on eggs, but not very many. Some of them have FBCMs already and are looking for darker egg color, but maybe one of them will see your post.

Brand spanking new to chickens and really enjoying them. We have one EE, two Cochins, and one Sultan. So only four right now. I need to rehome two surprise roos, who I have raise from day old chicks . One is a GLW and the other will be a very pretty EE roo. Yesterday I went to the feed store to get another Sultan and they were not selling chicks anymore. BUMMER. So I got an incubator instead

My husbands AMAZING.
So now I will be hunting for Houdan eggs. And that should round out the flock. We are in town so I can not do a full scale breeding plan.
Yay, close neighbours in Nor Cal!
BTW, this is Nor Cal isn't it?
