That is the first time I have seen those 2 words in the same sentance!

I am helping a person with a 9 month old Cockerel that has symptoms of cocci. Poo turned blue! One night of cord and the poo is back to green and the poor guy is starting to walk around again.

Just a warning--especially to those at higher elevations--Cocci will make them stand still and lead to foot sores or frost bite on the feet.

It seems like more of us are getting bad strains of cocci. The odd weather may be the culprit.

Watch the older ones too and if they have symptoms treat them!

Thanks Walt. I just checked and Urch does have them.

if you decide to break down and order some, Deann, i'd still be interested in sharing an order! one of my campines definitely has the wrong eye color, so would like to get a few more if i can...

So nice to talk to you! It's been awhile! Seeing Debi and the show Saturday revived my chicken enthusiasm! I make cards as well and have a few chicken stamps...do you find one type of ink works best?

Me too Sandy. I got re-enthused.!!!!!I didn't see you at Stockton. I ended up buying chickens, as if I needed any. I will now have white eggs to add to all my colored ones.
I LOVE making cards & have done almost nothing else for the past year between the last 2 Christmases. I tend to be a bit on the compulsive side. I have been making cards again just recently to get ready for the vendor table at the Fresno show. I will be selling Chicken greeting cards, chicken jewelry & maybe a couple of other things, all to do with chickens.
If you are going maybe I will see you there.

I understand that you are having the Legbar expo at your place in May.

w.

looking forward to it!

and wow, it's a banner day for all things chicklet-y here today: not only do i have six new hatchlings out of the incubator, but also one of the silver campines has laid an egg (first since before the holidays, when they'd only just barely started laying before stopping again), AND mabel the blue isbar/marans has gone broody, flat as a pancake and growling wildly. if only she'd done so a little sooner, she could have raised the chicks from the incubator!

Keep them for 5-7 days then give them to her. You've got about a 60/40 chance of her accepting them. I can do that reliably with silkie and marans chicks.
