I would not buy chicks from a feed store that allows the public to handle chicks. Who knows what chicken diseases those people are wearing on their sleeves.
The one near me buys and sells sick birds. I feel really bad for people that take anything home from that place. I would stop going there, but they're the only local store that sell a couple of types of feed that my peafowl like.

The lack of bio-security in some feed stores in mind boggling. There is a feed store near me that takes in adult birds and houses them in the same room as the day old chicks.

My whole flock seemed healthy this am when I went to let them out!!!

Amazing!

I'm so thankful! My Roo came running out crowing and dancing around one of his girls! My Buff Orp seems fine and the first sickly hen is still thriving! Whatever it was/is seems to be short lived and they made it! I'm going to continue the Corid.

On another note I'm nervous.... There's no pips or movement in my 5 Serama eggs or my 1 CLB. It's day 20. We lost power for about an hour a week or so ago. Temps dipped to 82. But when I candled them to set them they all looked good (i think). I've been battling my bator to keep the temps at 99.5 it keeps wanting to be at 98.5 :/ And keeping my humidity up is a pain right now too. We'll see.... I sure hope they hatch!!

That sounds like one particular place in Cotati. That place is filthy and wouldn't buy chicks there. The one I use accepts my order if it is less than 25 and tells me which day they arrive, or call me as soon as they arrive. That way they get to my safe haven asap. I get annoyed when I see filthy water in the brooders. I generally speak up when I see it.

It is good to hear that the chickens are better!

The egg should hatch fine. Hopefully you will see a pip tonight.
