I just talked to someone who lives in Denair on E. Zeering, does anyone know the ordinances for that area? She's right on the border of Turlock/Denair.

Denair is not a city. It is a CDC, or Census Designated Community.

The rules should come from Stanislaus County. She would have to find the Zoning designation for her property and then look up the rules for it from the County.

Besides Papa Brooder in Redding, I know of a man near Lake Don Pedro.

I don't hold with calling people. My husband says its always better to apologize than ask permission when dealing with county! That (Denair) is so far in the country and since it is county jurisdiction - I'd just go for it! We have 60+ chickens and 4 full grown cocks and several cockerels. We are on the county side of the street. City is the other side. No problems! We used to live out there. She should have any issues at all. Sometimes calling people starts to raise unnecessary objections.

I agree. The Rules and zoning should be online though so that no surprises come up later.

A person in one of the counties around here had all of his Roosters confiscated and destroyed because he was over the limit. He did not get a chance to appeal either.
