I have two Buff Orphingtons and love them a lot. I want more plus 2 Barred Rocks but have to wait and see if we can find a place to rent that takes chickens. Our current place is on a hill and it is a little difficult to get up to the cage with bags of food and to clean out their cage.

Wont beable to get vet tape or vitamins till the first. what can i give them until then though
Start with sugar water.

If you have a B complex Gel cap, you can open it and sprinkle it on the food.

Plain Yogurt and scrambled eggs can help too.

For Spradle leg, you can use bandages and even pipe cleaners--something to hold the legs together like a splint.

You can use any type of tape. The longer you wait, the less likely you'll be able to fix the problem. Are they on shavings on top of cardboard? If so, try using a towel instead, cardboard ir too slippery and can cause splay-leg.

I've used thin strips of masking tape and once I used duct tape.

It doesn't need grit with eggs or crumbles.

Dip It's beak into the sugar water to make sure it drinks. Grit is not important now but will be later to treat pasty butt. If it recovers it will begin eating soon.

It was likely stressed in shipping and may have been pressed against the box. Sometimes they have organ damage from the cold and if so they do not make past two days.

You are doing a great job with them!

The Sulfadimethoxine says to not give it to chickens over 16 weeks of age. Why is that? So what would be egg withdrawal?
it says it crosses the placental barrier, and did not do research on eggs so they cant give date. if there is no research they always say that iirc.
